Making Money with Enterprise apps and
Amphibian add-ons

Chuck Freedman, Ribbit's Director of Developer Platform, highlighted the business opportunities associated with the Ribbit platform. For those interesed in adding voice as a high value feature into their application Chuck explained the Enterprise program. He also showed Ribbit's Amphibian service (for the first time) and how developers can build Amphibian internet widgets for websites such as Facebook, iGoogle, and Netvibes and sell them in the Ribbit 'SWF' store. API 2.5 Sneak Peek

Chuck and Nara gave a sneak preview to what's coming this fall...the new 2.5 API, which brings new features such as sending text messages, extending your mobile phone to your blog with the uPhone, and even inline registration so you can add users without having them leave your Flex or AIR app.

Ribbit teamed up with 360|Flex to put on a great Spawn event at eBay campus in San Jose, CA on Sunday, August 17. A full house of Ribbit developers participated in a hands-on session to learn about the Ribbit API, the business opportunities waiting for developers, and the Ribbit Store.

The session attracted developers, application architects, business owners, systems integrators and professors from a variety of sectors. Everyone from non-profits to the Fortune 500 were getting hands-on with Ribbit code.
